Verdantas is a national consulting group seeking a talented Geotechnical Engineer from the graduating class of 2024 to join our team in the Wilmington office.
As part of the growing Geotechnical team, you will gain valuable insight into the daily operations of construction and engineering. Therefore, expect to quickly delve into multi-discipline projects, laboratory analysis, foundation calculations, report writing, and many other engineering tasks. Responsibilities:
Assist in the investigation and design of building foundations, earthen structures, and roadways
Collect and help interpret data through research, file reviews, field observations and measurements, field testing, and other methods
Assist in preparing detailed plans, technical specifications, and reports
Perform computations and process data using computer software or other established methods
Perform geotechnical laboratory analysis at our on-campus laboratory
Observe and document field activities and prepare construction documentation reports
Assist in preparing cost estimates for design implementation
Perform site inspections under the supervision of senior engineers
Demonstrate strong technical writing and communication skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited Institution, Master's Degree in Civil Engineering preferred
0-2 years of relevant work experience
CAD experience a plus
Strong calculation skills
The ability to interpret work plans
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
