Purpose:

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, your role involves leading analysis efforts for strategic projects related to Data Interfaces. You’ll elicit, document, and analyze business and technical needs across various areas, acting as a liaison between business and IT partners. Reporting directly to the Director of Software Development, you’ll work on projects of medium to large complexity.

Accountabilities:

• Supports all projects encompassing ALIP Admin system and the downstream integration with other impacted systems.

• Supports sophisticated projects involving ambiguity and risk encompassing multiple multi-functional business areas.

• Develop relationships as well as facilitate and leads interviews with business and technology partners to coordinate comprehensive needs and potential interdependencies.

• Partners with Product Owners to identify requirements for system and process improvements.

• Collects user requirements and acceptance criteria from business partners and translates them to user stories for the product teams to work from.

• Leads analysis efforts and coordinates efforts of other BSAs.

• Leads/demonstrates techniques to build business and functional requirements (artifacts).

• Analyzes business problems and makes recommendations for creative solutions.

• Facilitates, prioritizes, and proposes business process re-designs to improve process results.

• Participates in vendor requests for information or proposals (RFI/RFPs).

• Adopts change and provides reassurance to guide others through change; handles conflict.

• Increases business acumen and awareness of best practices to continuously improve business analysis capabilities.

• Proficient at right-sizing the message to the audience.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience (military experience considered).

• 5+ years of business system analysis experience, including 3+ years within an Agile framework.

• Additional advantages: DTCC/ACORD standards knowledge, Insurance/Annuities domain experience, data mapping expertise, understanding of XML/JSON, and proficiency in business analysis concepts.

• Proficient in requirements elicitation, project scoping, and analysis activities.

• Proficiency in SQL is essential.

Additional preferred:

• ALIP Application and other related downstream system knowledge preferred.

• Knowledge of Annuity domain preferred.

• Preferred certifications: LOMA.
