Hilton Group Sales Support in Watford, United Kingdom

The purpose of the position is to support with the management of group opportunities received from a portfolio of Hilton Worldwide Sales managed accounts, who are looking to work with Hilton Worldwide properties and destinations.

Working under the direction and guidance of the Team Lead, Sales Support, the primary focus of this role is to provide administrative and system inputting support to the Hilton Direct Account Executives, which in turn will increase productivity of existing relationships both at a customer and hotel level.

Position Summary:

To provide administrative and system inputting (Salesforce) support in the management of group opportunities from the managed portfolio of accounts.

Planning Activities 10%

• Develops awareness of key regions and hotels

• Develops awareness of key agents & clients

Organizing Activities 60%

• Prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are adhered to and exceeded

• Efficiently input group opportunities into Salesforce in line with the agreed best practices and timelines

• Follow all guidelines and best practices as set out by the line manager

• Follow all guidelines and best practices as set out by Governance & Support for Salesforce

• Highlight any technical challenges as they arise.

• Highlight and follow -up on lack of response from hotel(s)

• Regular discussions with wider team to assess workload and plan activities accordingly

Controlling Activities 30%

• Enforces policies and procedures to improve overall operations and effectiveness.

• Ensure proposals and contracts presented negotiated with customers are checked / validated

• Support accurate communication of sales promotions and information to relevant people

• Coordinate any required administrative work in terms of reporting of figures and SIP audit and appeals

• Understanding of Conference & Events terminology

• Understanding of Salesforce terminology

• Understanding of process flow of an opportunity

Supportive Functions

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the line manager based upon the requirements of the company.

• Comply with all policies, systems and procedures as laid down by the Team Lead, Sales Support

• The holder of this statement can be asked to take on other tasks in addition of the ones stated, in a reasonable framework

• Additional supportive functions as appropriate

• Participates in industry events and represents Hilton Worldwide at trade fairs and workshops, agreed by the line manager

• Updates manuals and other department related documents

• Contributes to the development and performance of the team

• Supports training for new team members – if applicable

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience of the hospitality industry experience preferred in Conference & Events, Sales, Marketing, Revenue. • Good knowledge of Salesforce

• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• Understanding of sales process; tools, measurements, and systems

• Understanding of business needs of hotels and clients
