What You Will Do :
The Strategic Planning Consultant - Facilities & Portfolio Planning will analyze processes and procedures to suggest improvements and enhancements for the client's real estate facilities portfolio. This includes review of financial estimate process and market analysis. This position will interact with client leadership, and internal stakeholders, in support of Project Managers, Analysts and other consultants to maximize the program’s effectiveness and ensuring the projects meet the customers intent and within the limits of the organization. The general responsibilities are as follows:
• Prepares and delivers timely, accurate, and complete reports including recommendations and analysis on real estate portfolio properties, stay-vs-go lease analysis, and cost planning comparisons.
• Interfaces with clients to refine requirements to include space and security elements in the customer’s Program of Requirements (POR).
• Conducts financial forecasting analysis for individual properties as well as general market trends.
• Works with the client to develop annual budgets for operating and capital expenses.
• Researches existing facilities portfolio planning practices and industry leading practices to identify recommendations on process improvements for client leadership consideration.
• Works with client on change management elements to effectively implement facilities planning process improvement recommendations, as pertinent.
What You Will Need :
An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET federal security clearance
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or University
4 years of relevant experience in strategy, process improvement, real estate, or other related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience creating business recommendations and presentations to leadership
Ability to conduct full range of project and program analysis
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents
Advanced analytical and quantitative skills
Intermediate to advanced skills with the Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in process improvement and organizational analysis
What Would Be Nice To Have :
Project Management Professional certification, Change Management certification, Real estate license, CPM or RPA professional designation or candidacy preferred.
Degree in Business, Strategy, Finance/Accounting, Economics, or Organizational Analysis preferred.
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to solve problems with organizational objectives in mind
Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers
Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, organizational policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines
Ability to effectively present information
Ability to respond to sensitive issues
Project Management of Federal Government facilities projects.
Superior communication and organization development skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Experience managing Federal leasehold and/or real estate portfolios PMP, Change Management, Real estate license, CPM or RPA professional designation or candidacy preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency and industry/project software packages to include but not be limited to latest versions of PM Prolog, Newforma, Microsoft Project, Primavera, RS Means, Buzz saw or other cloud-based construction management protocols, etc.
