Tuknik Government Services, a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking a BI Application Developer with a Top-Secret Security Clearance to support TGS and our government customer in Washington, DC.

We are seeking a curious, flexible, and open-minded Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with active Top-Secret clearance to join a Data Warehouse and BI development team supporting our federal client. The BI Developer will support moving the enterprise reporting application from the on-premises environment to AWS Cloud. The ideal candidate is dedicated to learning and growing his/her BI Development skills and enjoys enabling organizations to leverage their data to monitor and control cost and financial performance. This is a full-time position with on-site work performed at the client’s office located in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities:

  • Work hand-in-hand with our AWS Solutions Architect and Data Warehouse Engineer to transfer existing on-prem TIBCO WebFOCUS applications to the AWS Cloud environment.

  • Implement changes to objects and code to support could migration tasks.

  • Work with TIBCO WebFOCUS Client Server, Report Server, and Data Migrator

  • Create connections using adapters.

  • Create TIBCO stored procedures.

  • Create TIBCO Excel, HTML, and PDF Reports

  • Edit master files and access files.

  • Create jobs in Report caster.

  • Work with DB Visualizer to connect directly to AWS Redshift to analyze data stored outside of TIBCO WebFOCUS

  • Develop design documentation to ensure the process and quality control and to preserve system knowledge.

  • Work in a fast-paced Agile environment with fluid requirements and changing priorities.

Requirements:

  • On-site Washington, D.C.

  • Top Secret clearance required.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with TIBCO WebFOCUS (or similar BI tool) Client Server

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with TIBCO WebFOCUS (or similar BI tool) Data Migrator

  • Minimum 1 years of experience working with TIBCO WebFOCUS (or similar BI tool) Report Server

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with Aurora PostgreSQL (or a relational DB, such as Oracle)

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with AWS Redshift

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with DB Visualizer (or an equivalent DB Programming software)

  • Understanding of core AWS services, uses, and AWS architecture best practices.

  • Strong notion of security best practices (IAM, KMS, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) best practices

  • Excellent collaboration skills to work with multi-disciplinary teams of business analysts, data scientists, subject matter experts, and developers.

  • Experience working within an Agile/SAFe teaming environment with multiple vendors and stakeholders.

  • Strong communication skills

  • Experience with serverless architecture a plus

  • The ability to write complex SQL queries is a plus.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
