Do you love taking on big challenges without precedent? Do you possess a deep knowledge of the legal field and a passion for innovation? As a part of our Discovery team, you’ll help provide legal support for all our products and businesses. Working for a company that invents entire categories and industries means you’ll be challenged to creatively apply your deep legal expertise to rare and often unexplored aspects of the law. We are looking for a discovery counsel with great judgment and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to drive complex discovery strategy and lead programmatic solutions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has significant experience in discovery management, litigation and operational execution. This role requires a lawyer with highly efficient operational skills, risk management experience and the ability to strategically manage discovery end to end.

Key Qualifications

  • 8+ years of in-house, law firm or vendor discovery experience, including significant experience leading complex discovery management in litigations and investigations.

  • Strong technology interest and aptitude.

  • Preference will be given to candidates who have meaningful in-house or equivalent experience and experience managing discovery in litigation and regulatory investigations in a corporate setting.

  • Excellent operational, communication, analytical, organization, and negotiation skills are essential.

Description

As a member of Apple's discovery team, you will personally be formulating and driving discovery strategy, both from a legal risk perspective and an operational one. You'll be working with a number of cross-functional teams and stakeholders across all product areas. The position requires a high degree of self-sufficiency, independent judgment and a operational-focused approach. Travel is possible. You will operate as part of a supportive and fun team of lawyers, legal specialists and support staff who work closely together to protect Apple's interests.

Education & Experience

JD or equivalent and admission to at least US state bar.
