About the Role:

As a Federal Grants Specialist supporting our Federal government client, you will be trusted to provide post-award grants monitoring and evaluation program support to a Federal government client. The role is an opportunity for you to join a consulting team that supports meaningful and mission-oriented work for our Federal government clients. 

Responsibilities include conducting Federal grants program monitoring and evaluation (desk reviews); analyzing and processing data; collaborating with colleagues to clearly define project goals; implementing grantee communication and outreach plans; and generating effective solutions to fulfill project needs and objectives. The person in this role will be a self-starter with a strong attention to detail who can juggle many tasks on a daily basis . 

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):  

  • Assisting Federal clients with administering a nationwide Federal grant program, supporting post-award program monitoring and technical assistance activities

  • Supporting Federal clients with grantee desk reviews and site visits, including reviewing grantee-submitted materials, developing agenda and facilitator guide, providing knowledge capture, tracking action items, producing a report, and supporting next steps

  • Identifying, tracking, and analyzing grantee performance qualitative and quantitative data such as theming, sorting, and categorizing for entry into a grants data management system and program-wide reports

  • Assisting the team with preparing for and executing meetings, including developing agendas, overall logistics, note taking, tracking actions, producing reports, and/or supporting next steps

  • Tracking stakeholder interactions and making recommendations for stakeholder engagement, outreach planning, and overall communications

  • Supporting cross-departmental initiatives, effectively collaborating with all parties to successfully fulfill client needs

  • Preparing high-level briefings and talking points for Federal staff

  • Implementing operational systems, processes, and policies

  • Planning and defining the deliverable structure and content across multiple technologies

  • Selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements

  • Implementing practical solutions and methodologies

  • Applying quality standards to work products

  • Developing innovation and efficiency in order to increase performance

  • Investigating problems using analysis, experience, and judgment

    Location:

    You will work as part of a dynamic team remotely. You will work at the client site depending on contract requirements.

     

    Required Experience/Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of consulting experience or post-award grants experience

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment by communicating effectively

  • Receptive to all forms of feedback from clients and colleagues, and proactive to making changes

  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal 

  • Demonstrates a positive attitude even when faced with changes or adversity

  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, with experience evaluating quantitative as well as qualitative data

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance

  • Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changing priorities

  • Ability to learn fast and work with all types of personalities

  • Ability to work independently and take tasks from concept to delivery

  • US citizenship or permanent resident and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability

    Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Federal grants management experience 

  • Stakeholder engagement and assistance experience 

  • Broadband program support including experience with digital inclusion and working with minority community institutions 

  • Experience creating graphic content (e.g. slick sheets, webinars, conference handouts, direct mailings, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Previous experience in consulting, bu siness writing, meeting preparation and facilitation
