Location: Foster City, CA Duration: 6 months Description: Client Industrial Design is a team of dreamers and creators who believe in the beauty, function and value that good design can bring to the world. We are focused on the pursuit of mobility for all through our vehicle and hardware design. As a member of this team, you will be joining our efforts to embrace these principles and design the future of Client autonomous mobility. Responsibilities: Create high quality surface models that communicate the design intent throughout the design development process, from the concept sketch phases to class-A surfacing and production release. Deliver surface models within agreed time according to the specific milestone quality standards. Work closely and collaborate cross-functionally with creative design, studio engineering and system engineering teams to deliver surface models compliant with technical criteria. Prepare and carry out design reviews and presentations of surface models. Support and perform surface quality evaluations. Support surface model releases in PLM. Qualifications/Experience: 8+ years’ experience Proficient in Autodesk Alias Surface. Broad knowledge of product design development process. Good understanding of component design for manufacture. Confident working with design input in the form of sketches and verbal instruction. Confident working with engineering criteria and packaging hard-points. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks on a deadline. Ability and desire to work and communicate well with internal and cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and flexibly in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment. Basic CATIA knowledge an advantage.
