ABOUT THIS ROLE
Based in Tokyo, we are looking for a Director, Audible on Amazon, APAC to lead a marketing team responsible for driving customer acquisition and revenue growth for Audible via Amazon Retail, Amazon Voice and Devices and Affiliates channels across the APAC region. In addition to partnering with local and global stakeholders and leaders to identify and develop the customer acquisition and growth strategy and vision, the Director, Audible on Amazon, APAC will be responsible for overseeing the execution/implementation of the strategy. As a strategic leader and operator, they will be responsible for establishing and nurturing strategic relationships with different levels of Audible and Amazon leadership to identify, prioritize and realize opportunities for driving Audible’s growth on Amazon. In addition the Director, Audible on Amazon, APAC will require close collaboration with Product counterparts to shape the regional product strategy, provide region specific inputs and oversee localization efforts to support new product and feature launches across the region. Being a key member of the Audible on Amazon Global Marketing team, they will also be expected to demonstrate strong cross market collaboration to drive learning's and global growth.
The Director, Audible on Amazon, APAC will also be responsible for forecasting, budget management, reporting and performance analysis of marketing activities to different levels of Amazon and Audible leadership. As a team leader, they will be expected to manage, mentor and develop team of marketing managers.

As a Director, Audible on Amazon, APAC you will...
Partner with local and global stakeholders to define strategy and vision for acquiring new customers and driving revenue growth via Amazon Retail, Amazon Devices, and Affiliates channels across the APAC region
Partner with country managers, regional leaders, Audible on Amazon leadership and other global senior stakeholders to identify and prioritize growth opportunities
Establish strategic relationships with local and global Amazon teams to maximize Audible’s visibility across Amazon touch-points including Email, Onsite placements, Amazon advertisements, product detail pages, etc.
Oversee execution of day to day marketing initiatives across Amazon sub-channels. Identify operational best practices
Establish regional center of operational excellence to maximize efficiency and scalability while maintaining fidelity of marketing campaigns
Partner with product and technology teams to ideate on new opportunities and provide requirements for new product and feature launches
Lead product localization and implementation efforts including implementing site/app changes, obtaining stakeholder sign-offs, testing and defect resolution
Lead cost benefit/return on investment (ROI) analysis and deep-dives to provide strategic marketing/product recommendations and proactively identify and solve complex business problems
Own operational planning, goal setting, and budget allocation/administration. Monitor marketing metrics, goals, and KPIs to measure business performance
Dive deep to proactively identify issues that may impair Audible’s ability to meet its strategic and/or financial goals. Partner with global teams to act swiftly and execute mitigation plans
Manage, mentor and develop team of junior and senior marketing managers

Basic Qualifications
Experience in Marketing, in online and/or B2B marketing
Business level Japanese in verbal and written formats
Data-driven marketing experience, with a heavy emphasis on subscription marketing expertise and leadership
Experience in entertainment or media businesses
Project management and team collaboration experience
Analytical and quantitative skills – experience using data to develop and measure marketing programs
Experience building and managing high performing teams
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others
Entrepreneurial spirit, with a passion for getting the right things done
Analytical / decision making and problem-solving skills
Results oriented with strong bias for action, even in ambiguous situations
Ability to thrive in a high-energy, high-intensity and rapidly evolving environment
Strong knowledge of the cultural and media landscape, ideally across APAC
Experienced & comfortable working with international teams and cultures
Business level English in verbal and written formats
