You’ll work alongside professional engineers and designers, gaining exposure to project coordination, relevant computer-assisted engineering software, data collection and so much more.
Responsibilities
Offer design support on exciting transportation projects
Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and early career professional programs
Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
The work may include freeway, highway and roadway design, signing and pavement marking plans, utility plans, traffic control plans, technical writing, quantity calculations, construction documents, and all supporting documentation
Coordinate projects with supervisor, project managers, and other design staff
Attend and contribute to project and team meetings
Support design and preparation of plans in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MircoStation, InRoads and ORD software
Analyze maps, reports, drawings and as-builts for design projects
Support preparation of reports, plans, specifications, construction schedules, and engineers estimate for projects
Perform other duties as needed

Here’s what you’ll need :
In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited program
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Ideally, you’ll also have:
3.0 GPA
Working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation
A previous internship related to your field of study
Self-driven time management and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
High focus on quality and attention to detail
