Chemours is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to join our growing team! This position will report directly to the Maintenance Senior Specialist at our Starke, FL location.

Performs warehouse operations duties including moving/storing/inventorying/labeling of product/supplies/equipment. Uses equipment such as forklifts, storage equipment to move/store materials.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure adherence to all MSHA Safety and Environmental rules and procedures.

  • Issues supplies, materials, and equipment to company employees; manually pre-picks stock items from inventory which are specified in Work Order documents, completes all necessary paperwork for stock items issued.

  • Coordinates with Maintenance Planner to procure and pre-pick parts needed for all planned maintenance.

  • Works with Maintenance Planner, Operations, and Maintenance personnel to provide all needed parts for unplanned maintenance.

  • Maintain appropriate reorder points and accurate details on all critical spares part records.

  • Responsible for running daily replenishing reports to determine restocking needs and generate purchase orders accordingly.

  • Works with the team in setup of critical spares in SAP.

  • Receives delivered supplies, materials and equipment; confirms that delivered good match purchase order specification of quantity, condition, model number, etc.; completes all necessary paperwork for stock items received.

  • Receives returned material stock items; disassembles, inspects, determines suitability of material for restocking and/or repair.

  • Proficient in computer systems to properly set up spares part records, account for issues, returns,

  • receipts of new materials and associated back orders; inputs essential data on all materials handled; adheres to strict accounting procedures in this regard.

  • Conducts cycle counts of inventory materials based upon computer-monitored suggested re-order listing; conducts complete cycle counts for physical inventory as required.

  • Organizes and maintains warehouse and inventory yard areas for efficient material storage and

  • handling; maintains labeling system on each stock item; manually stocks inventory shelving with stock items received or returned.

  • Maintains records and coordinates periodic safety inspections.

  • Operates indoor and heavy-duty outdoor forklifts, and other necessary vehicles and equipment, to properly handle materials being received, issued, stocked, and picked; provide other departments with forklift operations as needed.

The following is required for this role:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • Five (5) years’ experience in a computer-aided warehousing operation with SAP experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience to include one (1) year experience in forklift operation.

  • Must be able to obtain and possess a valid Driver License.

  • Ability to understand mathematical conversions.

  • Must be able to obtain MSHA required Forklift Certification and MSHA Miner training.

  • One year of working knowledge of inventory control practices; working knowledge of tools, supplies, equipment used in a heavy industrial mining operation. One year of equipment operating principals and procedures as well as knowledge of hazards and safety precautions relating to equipment operation, loading and unloading of materials at the warehouse and in the mining areas.

  • Skill in operation of assigned equipment

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and vendors; ability to organize items by broad and specific classifications.

  • Ability to perform minor equipment maintenance and repair; follow standard safety practice and procedures common to equipment operation work; follow written and verbal instruction; and to maintain accurate records with some knowledge of mathematical conversions.
