Summary:The Systems Administrator will provide system administration duties for multiple servers and networks on several separate networks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Build, configure, and administer Windows desktops and servers

  • Assist with the design of architecture planning of a network implementation

  • Build and configure CG Core Servers and client work stations

  • Monitor and maintained LAN/WAN performance and provide support for VPN tunnels, maintenance and operation of firewalls, and all WAN interconnectivity issues.

  • Assist with patch management and backup duties

  • Apply all necessary updates and patches to production systems

  • Build Virtual Machines to include the use of Xen and VMware

  • Provision and manage user accounts, privileges, keys, and certificates

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • 3 years’ experience in the IT field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certified.

  • Secret Clearance (preferred) or ability to obtain Secret.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have advanced working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS SQL Server 2016 , PostgreSQL 10 , Windows Server 2016 , CentOS 7 or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 , PuTTY, MS AD Directory Services), and Outlook

  • Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and standards and strong technical knowledge of telecommunications, networks and PC operating systems

  • Ability to properly apply STIGS as needed

  • Familiarity with SCCM, WSUS, and SHAVLIK, and other patching tools

  • Ability to understand IAVAs and remediate issues as needed
