Job Description:

We are looking for a Journeyman-level TS/SCI-cleared Cartographic Analyst. In this role you will work within a government/contractor team environment, providing geospatial support services. Future needs and capabilities, as well as developmental assignments, are included.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Utilize an understanding of geography, cartographic finishing principles and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to review national and international co-producers, academia, military and civil partner produced 1:50,000 scale and 1:100,000 scale topographic maps.

  • Apply product finishing techniques to produce final products for 1:50,000 and 1:100,000 scale topographic maps.

  • Attribute, exploit, extract, format, manipulate, position, and symbolize geospatial information to build map/chart finished products to perform quality assurance reviews and map/chart product finishing.

    Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years experience or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience conducting cartographic finishing and feature extraction experience

  • Knowledge of ESRI-ArcGIS and PLTS

  • Principles and practices of geospatial data creation, conversion, maintenance, and manipulation.

  • Geospatial data sources and metadata documentation standards

  • Cartographic principles, including map design and production.

  • Geospatial analysis techniques, including geo-processing, statistical tools and raster processing.

  • Principles and techniques of GIS database design and data models.

  • GIS software concepts and terminology.

  • Operational characteristics and capabilities of relational database management systems.

    Clearance Requirement:

  • TS/SCI clearance is required, with willingness to obtain a polygraph upon request

  • Access and Investigation must appear in JPAS and be within scope (5 – Years)

    Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

    Shift schedule:

  • Currently 1st shift, 2nd shift if needed/directed

    Salary Range: $60,000+ based on ability to meet or exceed stated requirements
