T SQUARE LOGISTICS SERVICES MATERIEL HANDLER I-III (MOBILITY) in SHEPPARD AFB, Texas

The position will have a 90 day probationary period.

Pay Rate: $19.63-$23.01/$8.40 HandW (CURRENT)

$20.22-$23.70/$8.90 HandW (1 OCT 23) (Rate dependent upon experience)

Duty Hours: 0700 to 1600/0730 to 1630,Monday through Friday

Location: Mobility Element, Sheppard AFB TX.

CLASSIFICATION SUMMARY: The Materiel Handler I is an entry-level classification of the Materiel Handler suite of classifications for the first six (6) months of employment. Based on proficiency and experience an individual may start at the Material Handler II or III classification. The individual is responsible to the first level supervisor and other higher managers to gain the necessary proficiency level to effectively perform the tasks addressed in the major classification activities. Individual is required to perform other reasonably related operational duties as assigned by the first level supervisor or other higher-level managers. Perform safety and security tasks, as necessary. The major classification activities listed below are not all inclusive but the basis for gaining proficiency.

MAJOR CLASSIFICATION ACTIVITIES: Use the Air Force Computer Systems to include Integrated Logistics System-Supply (ILS-S) but not limited to one application, associated and relative to the following processes and data bases as applicable: Performs a variety of duties in accordance with military prescribed directives and storage methods. Unpack property, process items from receiving to storage, and place items into proper storage locations. Select items from storage locations as required by accompanying documentation and move property for delivery or shipment. Using the Mobility Module of ILS-S maintain mobility bag authorizations and inventory; issues, orders, receipts, and controls shelf life for all mobility bag assets, and preparation of materials for shipment. Assign warehouse locations to property, perform warehouse validations and inventory of warehouse-stored property. If required, maintain suspense files, accomplish requisitioning actions and maintain due-in, due-out and status files. Initiate requisition follow-up action and maintain data relative to adjusted, demand, and additional levels. Operate the Pilot Training/Individual Equipment Element issuing and backordering property. Perform duties in the Mobility Element maintaining mobility bags and updating customer and stock data using the Mobility Module of ILS-S. Individual must maintain proficiency in weapons firing and handling to back fill for Warehouseman when required. Inspect stored materials for shelf life and condition of property, in preparation of materials for shipment. Perform Materiel Management operations within all Storage and Issue Elements and utilize any other DOD approved computer programs/systems associated with the processing of Materiel Management assets and Hazardous materials. Accept, process, stage and prepare excess property for shipment to DLA Distribution Services (DLADS).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must be able to qualify on a 9mm handgun using the Air Force standard course of fire and qualify to operate a forklift.

Materiel Handler I, GRADE 17: Be able to obtain and hold a security clearance, possess organizational and communications skills, as well as maturity and ability to deal with all levels of personnel, both inside and outside the company; general working knowledge of PC operations, compatible software, and basic mathematics; maintain a good working relationships with others; be a High School graduate or equivalent; be able to lift and carry a minimum of 35 pounds; must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Materiel Handler II-III, GRADE 12 and 14: Six months Materiel Management proficiency and experience to upgrade to Material Handler II; additional 1-year proficiency and experience to upgrade to Material Handler III; working knowledge of PC computers web-based applications and use o our compatible software. Must be able to obtain and hold a security clearance. Have a High School diploma or equivalent. Be able to lift and carry a minimum of 35 pounds.
