UW Medicine Supply Chain Management has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time SUPPLY CHAIN TECHNICIAN 2 .

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Day shift

  • 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

  • Mondays - Fridays POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • The primary focus of this position is customer service, and the purpose of the position is to receive, warehouse, courier, and deliver general, medical, and surgical supplies throughout various healthcare settings, utilizing effective receiving, warehousing, and courier procedures. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION UW Medicine Supply Chain’s objective is to ensure our patient care experience is enhanced by delivering a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized supply chain management expertise. This includes a primary focus on customer service, as well as maintaining appropriate levels of general, medical, and surgical supplies throughout each facility. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver supplies and packages to various nursing units, clinics, and other locations utilizing appropriate signature technologies

  • Answer phone calls and emails and respond to customer service requests in a timely manner

  • Perform issues and credits in the Materials Management Information System (MMIS), ensuring the cost of the items are allocated appropriately and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories

  • Utilize various computer technologies such as handhelds, package scanners, and software programs.

  • Receive purchase orders in the MMIS and ship outbound packages utilizing appropriate shipping methodologies

  • Verify incoming and outbound shipments for accuracy.

  • Resolve order discrepancies while adhering to department policy and procedure

  • Courier fixtures, furniture, equipment, mail, packages and supplies in vans and cargo trucks to the correct destination, using appropriate signature technologies. REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduation or equivalent AND six months of supply chain experience.
