DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Research Technologist 1 (NE S SEIU 925 RT) at the de la Iglesia Lab will have the following responsibilities:
Field human subject work (20%)
Recruitment and consent of human subjects.
Deployment of wrist activity monitors.Human sleep lab work (30%)
Coordination of scheduling and research protocols with postdocs and graduate students.
Assistance with data gathering: polysomnography, blood samples, core body temperature.
Assistance with wet lab techniques for hormonal assays.Animal lab work (20%)
Assistance with husbandry and behavioral monitoring.
Assistance with data acquisition.Animal lab work analysis (30%)
Analysis of behavioral data.
Analysis of fluorescent and electron microscopy images. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Two years experience as a Laboratory Technician II, or equivalent; OR a Bachelors Degree in science.

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
General knowledge of sleep and circadian rhythms.
General et-lab research experience.
Basic quantitative and statistical skills.
