Summary Announcement Amended 4/19/2024 to extend closing date About the position: This position will be assigned to the Scott AFB Bowling Center. This is a Flexible position, guaranteed 0-40 hours. Responsibilities Assists in cleaning, oiling, and polishing the bowling lanes. Sweeps, dusts, and cleans other areas of the bowling facility; collects and removes trash; and maintains all areas in a clean and orderly fashion. Hand sands and varnishes minor flaws in lanes until surface can be conditioned. Assists in making minor corrective adjustments to bowling lane machinery as necessary, and performs periodic minor preventive maintenance on automatic pinsetter and mechanical equipment. Assists in maintaining stock levels. Qualifying Experience: Knowledge in the maintenance of bowling lanes. Must be able to use, control and clean common hand tools and heavy powered equipment. Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps. Education This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Direct deposit is required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. A probationary period may be required. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD). Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
