Amazon Senior Creative Program Manager, Devices Brand Studio in Santa Monica, California

Amazon Devices Brand Studio (DBS) is seeking a Sr. Creative Program Manager to lead global programs, projects, and operations initiatives. You will manage the execution of deliverables for product launches, events, and marketing campaigns that support high-visibility, high-impact business goals. You will also own building and implementing workflow tools and scalable processes that help DBS deliver on our project roadmap.

The ideal candidate will have bias for action and experience overseeing complex creative programs with a high degree of ambiguity. In this role, you are the hub of the project team, valued as a go-to resource on priorities, project details, timelines, and processes. You seek to be a true owner and drive relentlessly to raise the bar. You have a deep understanding of the creative process and are able to clearly define roles and responsibilities for cross-functional teams, manage multiple workflows simultaneously, meet deadlines, and proactively provide solutions to address risks and blockers. You are skilled at managing expectations with partner teams, comfortable with change, and thrive when solving problems in short order. You relish having a positive impact on team culture.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage complex creative programs and projects end-to-end, including ensuring quality inputs, assigning resources, building schedules and budgets, and routinely communicating project statuses

  • Build and implement workflow tools and repeatable, scalable processes that help our organization prioritize, manage, and deliver on our project roadmap

  • Facilitate effective creative reviews and alignment meetings with senior leaders, business partners, stakeholders, and agencies

  • Assess and mitigate risks, make tradeoffs, proactively escalate issues

  • Manage program resources and budgets, drive cost reduction efforts

  • Onboard and manage contractor support staff

About the team

The Devices Brand Studio is the creative studio within the Devices & Services organization at Amazon. We deliver creative and design for product launches, events, and marketing campaigns.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

New York City, NY, USA | Santa Monica, CA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience as a Design Program Manager, Producer, Account Manager, Creative Project Manager, or similar role with a creative agency, design studio, or in-house team

  • 3+ years of experience leading large, complex creative project delivery for cross-functional teams

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of leadership

  • Experience developing and optimizing workflow tools and creative processes

  • Experience managing creative work across product, brand, strategy, marketing, sales, or advertising initiatives (including integrated campaigns, social, digital, print, photography, video, out of home, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of current project management tools and methodologies

  • Adept at working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders

  • Open and collaborative, with proven ability to set priorities, unblock teams, and meet deadlines

  • Self-starter, with high attention to detail as well as the ability to zoom out and see the bigger picture

  • Strong sense of ownership and urgency; optimistic, “get it done” mindset

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $192,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
