Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$73.617 - $94.990 - $116.363

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

What You Will Do

Manages, coordinates, assesses, and communicates to ensure smooth daily operations and the delivery of quality patient care. Scope of role includes: department/unit operational coordination and planning, setting and implementing quality controls, improvements, standards, policies and procedures, regulatory and accreditation compliance, evaluating the best use of resources, ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction, and managing and developing staff to achieve organizational and department objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 Years Relevant nursing and/oncology experience.

  • Must have experience with effectively communicating, problem-solving, seeking creative and innovative methods to enhance patient care andstaff performance.

  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association

  • California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

  • 1 Year Leadership experience.

  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) - Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation -PREFERRED

Other Qualification Requirements

  • ONS-Chemo Provider Certification preferred.

Essential Functions

  • Operational EfficiencyPlans, organizes, and delegates procedures and responsibilities in a manner which optimizes efficient and quality patient care.Identifies the need for and assists others to complete work related activities and projects to accomplish prioritized goals.Completes work schedule, job assignments, and adjusts staffing according to volume and budgetary guidelines for assigned areas.Coordinates and chairs monthly staff meetings, continuing education, and safety in-services.Assists the Department Manager in meeting budgeted expenses and productivity targets.Identifies and participates in implementation of cost reducing or revenue-enhancing ideas.Contributes to utilization of supplies in a cost-effective manner that supports delivery of care within budgeted supply expense per unit of service.

  • QualityIdentifies and develops action plans to resolve quality issues and continually monitors department workflow using qualitative and quantitative data to ensure benchmarks/goals are achieved.Collaborates with other departments and physicians to resolve identified issues. Assists staff with problem solving related to quality of care.Identifies clinical learning needs and implements plans to ensure learning is achieved.Represents the department by serving on assigned committees and task forces.Assists the Leadership team with ongoing quality projects, including data analysis and reporting.Through professional literature, networking, and attending appropriate workshops maintains and builds knowledge base and expertise related to responsibilities including processes, education, and training techniques.
