SURVICE Engineering is seeking anEnvironmental Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH) expertto support USMC platforms. The applicant shall interface with engineers and technical professionals to provide technical writing expertise and assist in creating, documenting, editing, formatting, publishing, and archiving program management information (e.g., Human Systems Integration Program Plan; Human Engineering Program Plan; Safety Databases; ESOH Program Plan; and Programmatic ESOH Evaluations, Safety Assessment Reports, Safety Releases, Safety of Use Message (SOUM), Deadline Safety of Use Message (DSOUM)).

The applicant shall support critical review boards including the Weapon Safety Explosive Safety Review Board (WSESRB) process, to include the Fuze and Initiation System Technical Review Panel (FISTRP) and Software System Safety Technical Review Panel (SSSTRP). The applicant shall also assist in ensuring the safety of equipment by managing safety documentation, to include Top Level Mishap (TLM) database and Safety Hazard data. And will develop draft SOUM and Safety of Use Agreement (SOUA) documents and maintain a database of all safety related documents.

Work Location: Quantico, VA

Desire Experience with the following:

  • WSESRB process, to include the FISTRP and SSSTRP.
  • Examining equipment, reviewing Technical Manuals and other documentation and interviewing personnel to identify potential hazards to personnel, equipment or the environment.
  • Assigning Severity and Probability to identified hazards in accordance with MIL-STD 882.
  • Evaluating equipment for Human Systems Integration (HSI) issues in accordance with MIL-STD 1472.
  • Evaluating equipment for noise hazards in accordance with MIL-STD 1474 and MCO 6260.1.
  • Writing technical documentation and support review of Technical Data Packages.
  • Access database.
  • Drafting Safety of Use Alerts (SOUAs).
  • Preparing documentation in support of obtaining formal Risk Acceptance and Safety Releases for equipment.

Education and Experience Requirements: BS Degree with at least relevant 5 years' experience OR equivalent experience/certifications.

Clearance Requirement: Must have a current DoD Security Clearance
