$68,300 - $91,000
Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:
Enforce policies to establish a health and safety culture and ensure adherence and consistency to these policies.
Evaluate practices, procedures and equipment to measure risk and compliance.
Identify training needs and prepare, in conjunction with Mill Learning Leader learning modules on health, safety and accident prevention.
Recommend solutions, improvements and/or prevention measures.
Keep abreast of any updates to regulations and disseminate these changes to necessary teams.
Support departments in accident prevention and safety-related initiatives.
Report on KPIs of health and safety awareness, issues and statistics. Provide statistics to accounting
Co-manage the Incident Prevention System
Responsible for gas detection management software
Track and notify department about personal gas monitoring alarms
Communicate weekly safety incident report
Conduct chemical reviews and maintain inventory
Oversee hearing conservation program
Manage the mill emergency notification system
Sponsor the Emergency Response Team
Provide update to several H&S software programs
TappiSafe, C-Cure, CheckIt, DTN Weather, ConformIT, etc.
Provide training for Annual Safety Courses, NHI, OHSA, etc.
Competency in Working at Heights, Abatement, Industrial Hygiene
The Skills You Will Bring:
3 years of related work experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
College degree (B.S.) in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety, similar majors (Preferred)
Strong desire to work in a heavy manufacturing setting
High regard for safety in the workplace
Able to learn on the fly, adapt in a highly dynamic environment, and effectively cope with and manage change
Highly motivated, self-starter, results-driven individual who can also perform well in a team setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated leadership skills & experience
Comfort with all levels of employees, including peers, engineers, contractors, hourly operators, and management
Must have access to reliable transportation
