Senior Experimentation Program Manager

Job Description

We are looking for strong program manager talent to join our Global Experimentation Team at HP. We build and launch AB tests to continuously improve our online user experience across desktop and mobile devices on various eCommerce platforms.

As an Experimentation Program Manager at HP, you will support the full lifecycle of planning, executing, and analyzing AB test campaigns on behalf of stakeholders. You will work directly with business and product leaders to understand specific business needs and opportunities to deliver innovative product features. You will identify and scope opportunities for new capabilities and collaborate with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to conduct experiments and implement winning ideas. You will manage the experimentation lifecycle through strong collaboration with engineering, design, analytics, content, and quality assurance teams to scope, build, launch and maintain experiments. You will also analyze the performance of your experiments and take actions to further improve it.

This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to facilitate their experimentation roadmap, prioritize the order of campaigns, oversee the implementation of campaigns, coordinate with the analytics team to analyze the results, and report out the results at an individual campaign basis and overall program level. The position requires outstanding communication skills, data-driven mindset, and in-depth program and project management capabilities.

The role is measured based on the AB test campaign activity and the corresponding impact those campaigns have on key business metrics (conversion rate, RPV, bounce rate, engagement metrics)

Experimentation Program Manager Responsibilities

  • Collaborate regularly with business, UX, and product teams to develop and maintain the experimentation strategy and roadmap for the business verticals assigned.

  • Define experiment requirements. This may range from new features to UI or content optimization.

  • Manage the entire experiment lifecycle, including strategic planning, tactical execution, and in-depth analysis and reporting.

  • Communicate with management and senior executives about experimentation program requirements, direction, test development and launch management, and provide metrics on performance against goals.

  • Analyze test results to glean relevant and actionable insights.

  • Integrate usability studies, research, and market analysis into experiment requirements to enhance user satisfaction.

  • Support solution design and integration, define user acceptance testing, and provide post implementation support to stakeholders and end-users.

  • Support the creation & development of product features in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Stay current with the most recent trends around experimentation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is someone who constantly raises the bar individually and for the team, thrives under pressure, can dive deep into data and derive actionable insights, and can work with diverse stakeholders and a geographically diverse team. This candidate will utilize their charisma and business acumen to prioritize needs across multiple teams and drive business results.

Education and Experience

  • 5-7 years of work experience in program management, project management, or A/B testing role for websites or apps.

  • Strong communication skills and comfort with presenting campaign results to broader internal audiences (stakeholders, executives).

  • Business acumen to prioritize needs across multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience with web analytics a plus (Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics).

  • Hands on experience with collaboration products like JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar a plus.

  • Experience with AB testing tools a plus (Optimizely, Optimize, Target).

  • BA/BS in business or equivalent degree a plus.
