Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Administrative Commander/ Chief Deputy or Sheriff this position is responsible for I.T projects in house and acting as the liaison with I.T vendors that service the Sheriffs Office I.T needs.

Essential Job Duties

Install and troubleshoot software for all department general and specific applications.

Contact 3rd party vendor support with issues in software applications.

Coordinate with County IT for the creation and management of emails, including creating new users and assigning licenses, removing old users, and searching users emails as requested.

Adding and removing users in active directory, resetting passwords and unlocking user accounts.

Maintenance of computer hardware including repairs, moving, and setting up computer stations and running cables if necessary.

Manage phone system including, replace user phones, edit names on phones, and troubleshoot issues with phone system.

Update website as needed or requested and help users with website updates.

Provide basic I.T assistance to staff, coordinating projects and repairs with outside vendors as it relates to the information technology needs of the Sheriffs Office.

May serve as the Agencies System Security liaison with Az DPS.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Commander, Chief Deputy or Sheriff.

Education & Experience:

Working knowledge of Spillman, basic computer troubleshooting.

Three (3) years of experience of progressively responsible Information Technology experience or an equivalent combination of education, training or work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Knowledge, Skill & Ability:

Computers, networks, operating systems, installation of programs and hardware, basic equipment repair, troubleshooting Microsoft Office, and commonly used application programs.

Maintain confidentiality

Travel for training and various work locations, indoors and outside

Maintain accurate records

Work independently with minimal direction

Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships

Ability to be deployed to remote areas of the County

Work in adverse conditions for extended periods of time

Periodically or routinely lift heavy items up to 50 lbs. and carry long distances up to 20 feet

Bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time

Walk over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces

Remain in a standing position for extended periods of time

Licenses & Certifications:

Possess or acquire NCIC/ACJIS certifications within 90 days of hiring.

No felony convictions

Must maintain a valid Driver License throughout the length of employment.
