Summary:

Chenega Professional & Technical Services is seeking a Software Developer to support a contract with the U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF), Contracts and Acquisition Management Office (CAMO). The Software Developer will support the N6 Division, Fleet Chief Information Officer (Fleet CIO) in the development of a custom application tool entitled Contract Management and Analysis Tool (CMAT).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Build prototype models using, but not limited to, Data Modeling Tools, Mock up sites, and Flow Charts.

  • Write an application user guide and provided technical support/assist to end users of the application once application has been deployed.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of other custom applications hosted by USFF N6 in conjunction with this application.

  • Work with team developers and gather requirements from customers.

  • Develop custom applications using ASP.NET, MVC, T-SQL, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web related technologies.

  • Build reports and dashboards using SQL Reporting Services, and/or similar Business Intelligence technologies.

  • Participate in the planning, documentation, design, meetings, development, review of the custom SharePoint solutions and/or applications and Information Assurance.

  • Translate high-level business requirements into specific design by developing an effective and efficient prototyping/storyboard process to communicate user experience visions to stakeholders.

  • Develop plan of Action & Milestones (PO&AM) on all applications and/or projects/tasks.

  • Develop a technical guide for the application users that clearly defines the steps and processes necessary for full functionality benefit.

  • Provide technical support and training to end users as needed.

  • Utilize Visual Studio 2015 or higher Virtualization technology for application and solution development.

  • Participate in regular scheduled meetings to discuss projects/tasks/requirements/etc.

  • Provide technical advice and recommendations such as best practices on current and trending technologies potential use and gain for the government as necessary.

  • During prototyping and developing, provide all application testing results to the COR.

  • Provide weekly tasks reports and monthly management reports.

  • Information Assurance Network Computing Technical and Management Functional Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Security Maintenance of Systems and applications to include but not limited to Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).

  • Perform thorough code testing and error validation prior to deploying to production.

  • Enforce DoD Information Assurance security requirements on the developed application.

  • Participate and assist in the implementation to IA security maintenance on the developed application.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • BS in Computer Science or similar field, an AS in Computer Science with an additional 2 years of experience.

  • Minimum 6 years of experience, proficiency and in-depth knowledge in application development using Microsoft SQL 2012 or higher (Database Engine, Reporting Services, Integration Services and Analysis Services), PowerShell, ASP.NET 3.5 or higher, C#, Java Script, HTML, CSS, Microsoft Windows 2012 or higher and Visual Studio 2013 or higher and web related technologies.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience, proficiency and in-depth knowledge in the design, installation, configuration, development, and maintenance Windows 2012 or higher, Active Directory and networking, IIS 8 or higher, SQL 2012 or higher.

  • Must have current certification in Developing ASP.NET, MVC, Web Application or Programming in C#.

  • Must have current DoD IAT-II and DoD IAM-I Certification or CompTIA Security Certification

  • Must have current government Secret clearance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience, proficient and in-depth knowledge in data modeling, user interface and/or experience (UI/UX) design and implementation.

  • Experience and proficient in the installation, configuration, and management of visualization technology such as Hyper-V, Virtual Box and VMware.

  • Excellent and proficient communication and writing skills, and possess a proven ability to be a self-motivated member of the Development Team.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects at a time, prioritizing efforts and meet deadlines.

Desired Skills:

  • Project Management skills, customer relations skills, and requirement writing.

  • Technical writing skills.
