Teens and adults will both be welcomed as volunteers. Location and Hours: Arvonne Fraser Library is located at 1222 4th Street S.E. in Minneapolis, MN 55414. Other locations for this opportunity within the Marcy, Prospect Park, and Como communities may also be an ask. We are asking for a total of 4-8 hours weekly, both day and early evening hours. Volunteers will assist library staff with youth and family programming in the library and at off-site locations for events and programs. Assist youth K-grade 8 with fun, hands on literacy and learning activities. Help set up and take down tent, booth, and activities at different events and programs. Essential to have transportation. Desire to work with youth in a variety of venues. Examples of Programs: Neighborhood Nights in Luxton Park, Van Cleeve Como Cares Produce Distribution, Minneapolis Kids programs, and Luxton Learners. Training provided by Program Coordinator, supervision by designated Hennepin County Library staff member.
