REDTAIL SMART NETWORKS INC Safety Manager in Midland, Texas

Client provides services to the oil/gas industry across the Permian Basin. Services include: Construction, Sandblasting/Painting and Coating, Rotating Equipment and Maintenance. SAFETY MANAGER: JOB OBJECTIVE: 1) Support all Central Team members in safe work practices. 2) The Safety Manager will implement and monitor the Companys safety programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment. 3) Develop relationships both inside and outside of the Company that promote safety. RESPONSIBILITIES ANDDUTIES: Create a culture of Safety for our people by maintaining the companys safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OHSA) rules and regulations. Plan and implement programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices, injury prevention, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other safety related items. Inspects Company facilities and projects to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented. Handle all OSHA related issues such as inspections, yearly reports, job site posters,etc. Performs field safety audits to ensure compliance with all OSHA, State, Local and company safety rules and regulations. Compile the monthly safety tracking data report for management. Produces other safety reports as needed. Completes all accident/injury/incident reporting and performs investigations to determine cause and possible preventive measures for future work of a similar nature. Further investigates all injury claims to ensure company is protected from fraudulent worker compensation claims. Makes corrective action recommendations to upper management concerning safety and health issues that may affect the company. Regularly reviews worker compensation claims data for possible employer modification rate adjustments. Purchase required safety equipment for company personnel.
