Key job responsibilities

  • Use and share your insights with partner teams, to build a roadmap of projects to accelerate speed of deliveries in your country

  • Launch programmes, monitor performance metrics, and report on the status of key objectives that affect deliverables across a mix of process improvement and technical projects

  • Consolidate progress into crisp and concise data-driven status updates. You will own reporting to Amazon senior leadership (VP-level).

  • Deep dive complex data using SQL (>10TB) to uncover actionable insights for known and unknown problems

  • Use data to control/audit if our supply chain is behaving as expected, and automate the identification of improvement opportunities across dozens of dimensions

A day in the life

Every day, you’ll focus on our business objectives – from improving efficiency to increasing reliability – and find creative ways to make these happen. You’ll be part of a team driving major projects to standardise our processes and make improvements to our operations. That will involve being in regular contact with senior management and a wider group of stakeholders to define the project requirements and update them on status, risks, and impacts. You’ll also create communication plans to bring everyone up to speed with the new processes you implement.

As a Transportation Network Design Programme Manager, you’ll be the expert in charge of spotting the problems, seeing the gaps and inefficiencies, and creating solutions. Deep diving into data will help you find those challenges and keep track of the effectiveness of your improvements.

About the team

The EU Speed team is part of the EU Global Transportation Services (GTS) organization whose goal is to optimize the EU end-to-end transportation and transfer network for Delivery Estimate Accuracy (DEA), Speed, Cost and Carbon Intensity, through all phases: design, planning and execution.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Basic Qualifications

-A degree in business, supply chain, transportation, economics or a technical field

-Relevant experience working in a supply chain, transportation, project management or management consulting role

-Relevant experience in project management or management consulting including handling multiple ongoing projects

-Relevant experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis

-Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
