Actalent Geotechnical Engineer in Louisville, Kentucky

Description:

Seeking a Geotechnical Engineer than can (eventually) manage the work of the geotechnical team.

Develop proposals and determine cost and schedule for different investigation

Interface with clients and design team

Must be able to visit sites for observation and testing programs

Assist with design decision making and engineering procedures

Prepare documents daily

Manage budgets and edit reports / proposals

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Civil engineering. As long as the degree allows them to eventually become Licensed as a Professional Engineer

and 5+ years of experience

Must be familiar with geotechnical investigations and design activities for transportation (bridges, retaining walls, pavements, roadway), dams, levees, hydraulic structures, and railroad projects. Plenty of client interfacing.

Perform geotechnical technical analyses, prepare proposals and reports, and coordinate with designers and contractors to implement recommendations on pans and in the field.

The Geotechnical Engineer is a leadership role that involves planning, organizing, and coordinating the work of entry and mid level professionals.
