Job Description

Insight Global is supporting our client seeking a heavy highway / civil construction Chief Estimator, to be based out of their Lorton headquarters, to help grow their backlog of projects. This position will include a variety of project types including, civil, utility, bridge, and structures, ranging from $1 million to over $500 million.

* Lead a team during the estimating process including executive review and estimating meetings.

* Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical behavior when representing the Company.

* Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to lead estimators in preparing time, cost, and labor estimates for projects under various delivery methods.

* Lead preparation of estimates for multi-discipline projects including understanding scope and accurate quantities.

* Supervise and train other estimators.

Skills and Requirements

* 10+ years of engineering, estimating, construction management, general management, or field engineering experience in the heavy civil field is required.

* Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management or related degree.

* Wide range of public agency and private client experience highly preferred.

* HCSS Estimating software experience.

* Proficient at a wide range of estimating disciplines. null
