Within Electrification, the Power & Energy Strategy is ensuring long-term electrical power supply is aligned with Amazon's eMobility plans. The Sr Energy Strategy manager will manage power upgrade projects across our Middle Mile network in UK&I (UK & Ireland). This includes planning power and electrical equipment upgrades (at country and site level), managing relationship with external (DNO and vendors) as well as internal stakeholders (Sustainability Engineering, Procurement teams to name a few), project contracting and financial supervision, to ensure power is delivered on time to enable EV fleet deployment at lower cost possible.

Key job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

· Plan and execute power upgrade projects.

· Prioritize projects with biggest impact on our business, propose and obtain approval from relevant functional leaders, and schedule resources

· Manage DNOs (Electric Distribution Network Operators) and vendor relationships

· Establish and maintain a close and constant exchange with internal stakeholders to accelerate project execution

· Support or lead additional sustainability projects across EU (energy management, resiliency, alternative power generation) or in new geographies.

This position requires Ownership and Bias for Action, with a mix of leadership, soft skills and technical acumen along with program administration. This candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders. Also, this opportunity requires excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and the ability to succeed in a fast paced technical environment. The ability to work independently and deal with an ambiguous environment is a must. The ideal candidate is motivated, innovative, agile, and has exemplary time management and project management skills. A passion for sustainability is required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or higher

  • Relevant Experience in technical program and product management, technical development or related technical roles in the industrial EV charging solutions sector.

  • Proficiency with tools/systems to analyze data including Excel, Access, or other data management systems

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial analysis and reporting

  • Experience writing documents on technical requirements for new products, process improvement initiatives and/or design validation plans
