The Woodland Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Electrical Wiring, Carpentry, Building Construction Technology, Culinary Arts, Advanced Training - Culinary Arts and Hotel & Lodging. We also assist students with job placement upon completion of their educational and career technical training.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Woodland Job Corps Center operated by Adams and Associates, Inc., is seeking a professional Substitute Instructor responsible for providing instruction and training to students in the absences of the regular Teacher or as needed when there is a vacancy. Facilitate learning in the classroom and ensure compliance with Center policies and procedures during the school day. Work collaboratively with Direct Supervisor to ensure classroom learning continues in the absences of the regular Instructor. The Instructor will keep track of student performance in the appropriate student database. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide students with academic training leading to GED/HSD completion and improved numeracy and literacy skills.

  • Provide students with comprehensive and individualized case management that ensures student progress, achievement and completion of the Job Corps program.

  • Ensure classroom is well organized and conducive to student learning.

  • Hold students accountable for following Center's dress code/behavioral standards of conduct.

    Salary: 140 per day payable in four hour increments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree.

  • Previous Experience Teaching Preferred.
