Disability Rights Michigan (DRM) has an immediate full-time (37.5 hours per week) Program Assistant position for our Rep Payee Team in the Lansing office. The Representative Payee Program at DRM is charged with conducting reviews on behalf of the Social Security Administration (SSA) to verify representative payees are using benefits on behalf of beneficiaries and are fulfilling representative payee responsibilities and duties correctly.* *

Duties included are not limited to using information provided by the Social SSA to assist in the completion of representative payee reviews. The Program Assistant will provide assistance to the Representative Payee Team in completing required documentation according to SSA grant award and Business Process Document. Create and maintain files with information provided by SSA for each review from scheduling to completion of the review. Create and format all required correspondence for each review, updating both agency and SSA databases. Maintain the security and safety of personal identifying information (PII) of all individuals involved in representative payee reviews.

Must possess the ability to obtain a Level V moderate risk public trust government clearance by the United States Government Office of Personnel Management. An associate degree in a human service-related field; or relevant experience in administrative support; business/accounting, human services, and disability rights. A minimum of two years of related human services experience including responsibilities working with the public.

Salary: $43,500-$48,500 Depending on experience.  Excellent benefit package.
