This Opportunity

WSP is seeking a Senior Coordinator with construction management experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have solid construction management experience, leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and ability to work with a group of experienced professionals.

The Senior Coordinator Construction will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager with coordination and control of construction projects from award to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that the client’s requirements regarding the functionality and standards are met, and that contract modifications are accurate and justified. You will also be responsible for ensuring that that the project is completed successfully. The Project Manager is responsible for dealing with any delays that may happen during the project, emergencies and/or unforeseen conditions that may occur. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of project management experience.

Your Impact

  • Strong commitment to company’s safety and quality programs and ensure safety practices are adhered to on all projects.

  • Regular coordination between Client Project Manager, Contractor, and WSP Project Team

  • Project construction leadership and support for projects that involve general building and civil construction activities.

  • Assisting with project planning, scheduling, cost estimating, contract administration, bid analysis, procurement activities, and verification of progress payments.

  • Managing multiple construction projects at one time

  • Coordinating and working with multi-disciplined staff throughout the U.S.

  • Addressing change order requests, and requests for information from contractor

  • Overseeing construction projects, managing resources and coordinating design changes during the construction process.

  • Ensuring projects are completed within established Design Standards.

  • Ensuring projects are completed within schedule and budget; and develop contingency strategy if schedule or budget are not being met.

  • Overseeing the selection of trade contractors and general contractors who are ideal for the completion of a project.

  • Obtaining the necessary licenses or permits.

  • Maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.

  • Some overnight travel required.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of related experience

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Flexibility to work and travel outside normal business hours as required.

  • Construction background desirable.

  • Desire for continuous learning and ability to learn quickly on the job.

  • Must be computer proficient with working knowledge of MS Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. in engineering
