Parsons Corporation Lead Engineer - Planning in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Lead Planning Engineer responsible for overseeing all aspects of project planning and scheduling for an oceanarium construction project. Working closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, the Lead Engineer will develop comprehensive plans, schedules, and timelines to ensure the successful execution of the project within budget and on schedule. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record of managing complex construction projects from conception to completion.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, incorporating all phases of construction and resource requirements.

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to establish project milestones, deliverables, and critical paths.

  • Monitor progress against established schedules and identify potential risks or delays, implementing proactive measures to mitigate issues.

  • Conduct regular site visits and meetings to assess progress, address concerns, and provide guidance to project teams.

  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment as per project requirements.

  • Utilize industry-standard software tools and methodologies to track project performance and analyze data for continuous improvement.

  • Lead and mentor a team of planning engineers, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

  • Minimum of 18 years of experience in construction project planning and scheduling, with at least 6 years in a leadership role and a minimum of 5yrs experience projects, preferably in GCC (KSA experience ideally)

  • Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects, preferably within the marine or aquatic industry.

  • Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
