DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Fiscal Management Specialist 2, you will participate in the allocation formulation, fiscal analysis, and department budgetary processes for the Pennsylvania Department of Aging's (PDA) Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) and support bureau staff and other departmental units with program development and monitoring as needed. The primary responsibilities of this position are gathering and analyzing budget and expenditure information from the AAAs for accuracy and compliance, interpreting and applying applicable federal and state laws and guidelines, and providing technical assistance and training to AAAs to ensure proper understanding of their fiscal responsibilities.

Your analytical knowledge and training are essential as this position provides advice on difficult or unusual budget or audit matters to supervisors and PDA management as well as analytical support in the development and presentation of program and cost information. You will also have the opportunity participate in funds management, fiscal monitoring of the AAA network, ad hoc reporting, and special projects.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: This position is headquartered in Harrisburg.  With the administration and agency leadership's support, this position is eligible for a part time telework. Management may discontinue the telework arrangement at any time, for any reason. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. You will be required to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg when needed. If you are unable to telework, you will report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.  The location where you perform your telework must be located within a reasonable travel distance of the Headquarters office in Harrisburg, within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 1; or One year of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
