DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will supervise the staff of the Constables' Training Program and serve as lead staff person in support of the Gubernatorially appointed Constables' Education and Training Board. You will also act as a liaison between the Constables' Education and Training Board and professional associations, legislative offices, government agencies, and training providers. You will evaluate and supervise your staff in the review of the quality, effectiveness, and accuracy of the Constables training programs; research subject matter to validate necessary changes and updates; and initiate and coordinate the curriculum development process. Additionally, you will research, develop and implement new technologies in training delivery.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 4 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Travel on short notice, both in and out of state, may be required in this job. Free on-street parking! Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $64,959 (before taxes). Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as Criminal Justice System Specialist 2; or Three years of professional experience in criminal or juvenile justice, law enforcement, or victim services, and a bachelor's degree in the social or behavioral sciences, criminal justice, law enforcement, or a related field; or Two years of professional experience in criminal or juvenile justice, law enforcement, or victim services, and a master's degree in the social or behavioral sciences, criminal justice, law enforcement, or a related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
