Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking a Registered Nurse- PRN with a Public Trust clearance to support Kadiak and our government customer in Glynco,GA.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide direct nursing care within the scope of services defined by Kadiak, LLC for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Health Unit to include basic occupational health care, personalized health counseling, and appropriate medical and wellness referrals for clients presenting in the occupational health center or outreach event for occupational health services.

  • Performs components of physical exams which may include, but are not limited to:

  • Vital signs - varies with different exam requirements.

  • Audiometry

  • Vision testing

  • ECG

  • Spirometry

  • Phlebotomy

  • TB skin testing

  • Documentation of all clinical data on all required forms

  • Provides immunizations according to KGS policies, SOPs and standing orders.

  • Provide non-emergency care to clients according to RN protocols and under the direction of Licensed Independent Practitioners (LIPs)

  • Administers topical, oral, intravenous, or intramuscular medications.

  • Responds to emergency calls when required and renders emergency services as needed.

  • Assures personal compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies.

  • Establishes and monitors appropriate level of care for clinic patients.

  • Ensures timely and accurate documentation of patient status and patient care activities including treatments, procedures, and medications prescribed.

  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

  • Comply with federal and state privacy laws, always respecting a patient's confidentiality.

  • Ensures clinical competence and stays abreast of changes in medical management.

  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.

  • Report supply issues such as low par levels to the Clinic Nurse Manager

  • Participate in Quality Assurance activities, data analysis and review to make improvements within clinic operations.

  • Report site-specific problems to the Clinic Nurse Manager (e.g., staffing difficulties, supply issues, environment of care hazards, onsite operational emergencies, etc.) in a timely manner.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • At least two (2) years' experience in occupational health or related experience such as public health/community health, outpatient clinic, emergency department or ambulatory healthcare, or physician office nursing

  • Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task; ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.

  • Superior ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Minimum Education Requirements, Certification, Licensure, Experience:

  • Graduation from NLN accredited school of nursing (AD, or BSN)

  • Active RN licensure in the state for which they are hired, compact license preferred (NLC)

  • Basic Cardiac Life Suppo1t (BLS) training and possess current certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

  • Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) preferred.

  • National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) preferred.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
