Kapili Services, LLC is looking for a qualified Information Technology Analyst-Systems Administration Level IV to support a customer in providing configuration, management, maintenance and support of local area networks (LAN’s), server infrastructure, desktop infrastructure, private cloud, messaging, communication, SharePoint, and related peripherals, customer support, computer operations.

  • Acts as a senior technical advisor with expertise in troubleshooting computer hardware, peripherals, and software in terms of reliability, maintenance efficiency, and compatibility with existing and planned corporate systems and licensing

  • Evaluates hardware, peripheral, and software configurations in accordance with forestry and other applicable standards

  • Performs enterprise backups using software such Symantec Backup Exec

  • Develops and maintains inventory of Information Technology (IT) equipment

  • Installs, configures, and maintains software on all versions of the Windows operating system and with customer IBM systems and networks

  • Participates in teams often taking on a pivotal role in system administration technologies and often leads ad hoc teams of contractors

  • Works to define complex system administration tasks, where guidance may be gleaned from published literature, industry trends, procedures, and manuals

  • Develops innovative approaches to complex problems that address a wide array of technologies

  • Routinely documents all work as normal part of work processes

  • Works on highly complex tasks that routinely involve multiple technological disciplines

    Degree/Education/Certification Requirements:

  • BA/BS in computer science or Information Sciences

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)

    CERTIFICATIONS:

    Possess or ability to acquire within six months of contract start date the following certifications or equivalents acceptable to the Government:

  • Esri Enterprise System Design Associate 10.5 AND, AND one or more virtualization certifications such as VMware VCP6.5-DCV Certification.

    Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least ten (10) years of systems management experience in the configuration, management, maintenance and support of local area networks (LAN’s), server infrastructure, desktop infrastructure, private cloud, messaging, communication, SharePoint, and related peripherals, customer support, computer operations

  • Data platform, business intelligence and general supervision of other IT Contract staff

  • Participating in hardware analysis and configuration studies involving personal computers, servers, as well as LAN and WAN systems

  • Expert in networking/distributed computing environment concepts, routing, client/server programming, and the design of consistent network-wide file system layouts, configuration of active directory, mail systems, and IT security

  • Proficient with Symantec or other widely used commercial backup and IT security software, Microsoft Server 2008 and later, and Windows desktop operating systems (7 and later)

  • Knowledge of ArcGIS software products and IT security

    Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise in system administration

  • Comfortable with all system administration tasks and utilizes the most current and appropriate technological approach

  • Exceptional communicator both in verbal and written form

  • Ability to provide written documentation for complex tasks or procedures

  • Understands a wide range of technological disciplines
