POSITION LOCATION: On campus position located in Fort Morgan, CO

EMPLOYMENT SPECIFICS:

.75FTE- 1.0FTE (Professional/Technical 195-260 days).

**FTE and schedule can be negotiated between .75FTE and 1.0FTE

PURPOSE/SUMMARY OF JOB: The MCC Development Office Specialist participates in the planning and implementation of strategies to achieve the fundraising goals of the MCC Development Office. The Specialist works closely with the Director of Development and has primary responsibilities for assisting with the executive management duties of the Development office. These responsibilities include but are not limited to serving as secretary to the MCC Foundation Board of Directors, facilitating bank deposits and invoices, creating correspondence and other communication to diverse groups of individuals, managing the donor database including gifts to the Foundation and CACE, coordinating scholarship information, providing reports on giving, assisting with the planning and organization of functions and special events, and managing components of the department's budget.

The specialist shall perform these duties while promoting opportunities for inclusion, expressing the value of differences, and regularly demonstrating the college's commitment to the Guiding Principles. The specialist may serve in the absence of the Director of Development for the purpose of maintaining the continuity of Development Office functions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, with courses in business or disciplines in support of the Essential Job Functions for this position. Two (2) years of experience in a professional office in a customer service driven environment. Demonstrated professionalism and high integrity, while maintaining confidentiality. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent organization skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize duties with attention to detail. Self-starter with initiative, and able to build trust and work effectively with diverse individuals and groups. Proficient in MS Office. Occasional travel (day, evening, overnight and weekends) throughout the college service area to carry out duties of the position. Occasional long and irregular hours necessitated by special projects, deadlines, and committee service. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in planning special functions and large events. Experience in higher education or non-profit setting. Colorado certification for Raffle/Games Manager. Graphic design experience Anticipated Start Date: September 2023

Salary and Benefits:

$50,200 to $57,730, based on education, skills and experience. Benefits include health, life, dental insurance, LTD & benefit package in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies. No relocation assistance is provided.
