General Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Reliability Analyst to spearhead our reliability engineering efforts and drive continuous improvement initiatives. As a Lead Reliability Analyst, you will serve as the subject matter expert in condition monitoring (CM) technologies, providing technical leadership and guidance to the reliability team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced certifications in multiple CM areas, demonstrate proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, and have a proven track record of implementing effective reliability strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of reliability analysts, providing guidance on best practices, methodologies, and technical skills development.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive condition monitoring programs tailored to the specific needs of our organization and equipment assets.

  • Utilize advanced nondestructive testing techniques and tools to assess the integrity and performance of critical components across multiple CM areas.

  • Interpret data from various condition monitoring sources, including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and more, to identify trends, anomalies, and potential failures.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize maintenance activities, optimize asset performance, and minimize unplanned downtime.

  • Conduct in-depth root cause analyses to identify underlying factors contributing to equipment failures and develop effective mitigation strategies.

  • Drive reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) initiatives, including the development of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to enhance asset reliability and longevity.

  • Stay abreast of industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in reliability engineering to continuously improve processes and methodologies.

  • Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to enhance the knowledge and skills of reliability team members and stakeholders.

  • Act as a liaison with external vendors, contractors, and industry experts to leverage specialized expertise and resources as needed.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Applied Sciences, or related field experience preferred.

  • American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level 2 certification or equivalent in CM area of specialty (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, etc.).

  • International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Category 3 certification preferred.

  • ASNT Level 1 certification or equivalent in at least one other secondary CM technology (e.g., ultrasonic testing, oil analysis, etc.).

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in condition monitoring, reliability engineering, or related field.

  • Proficiency in utilizing condition monitoring tools, software, and data analysis techniques.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members towards common goals.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement principles.

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced certifications or specialized training in additional CM technologies or methodologies.

  • Experience with reliability software tools and asset management systems (CMMS/EAM).

  • Project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to reliability, safety, and quality assurance.

  • Experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments.

Work Environment

  • Occasional and/or light lifting required--limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc., but none to the point of being disagreeable.

  • May involve minor safety hazards where likely result would be cuts, bruises, etc.
