Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at FORT HUACHUCA Responsibilities Preparation of the annual budget and Program Operating Memorandum (POM) for a Brigade level Command. Analyzes, evaluates, measures, and reports effectiveness of assigned programs/projects/tasks and progress toward meeting program performance objectives and goals. Monitors and performs detailed analyses, program progress and utilization of resources. Demonstrated high levels of technical proficiency in resource management. Lead a highly specialized team of analysts in managing the funding program for the Command. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialize experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the NH-2 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Provide advice and guidance to key members on budgeting and finance matters pertaining to assigned programs; 2) Oversee and review major programs associated with customer funded programs; 3) Provide recommendation on management control and consistency of program planning, evaluation, and finance; 4) Prepare and present special studies and briefings. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
