Valiant is seeking a Tractor Operator / Grounds Maintenance Technician for hospital grounds maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Cuts lawns. Trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls. Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth ore removed damaged leaves, branches, or twigs Spray lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides. Rakes and bags leaves. Cleans grounds and removes litter. Shovels snow from sidewalks, parking lots, and drive lanes. Utilizes snow plows, tractors and spreaders to remove snow. Spreads ice melt and sand as necessary before, during and after snow storms. Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Waters lawn, shrubs and trees. Repairs fences, gates, retaining walls and walks. Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts. Maintains and repairs all grounds maintenance tools and equipment. Possess a current Ground Pesticide Applicator License for the State of Colorado (preferred) High school diploma or general education degree (GED) . Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must be able to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds as needed. Must have current drivers license. Pay Rate: This positionstarts at $22.71/hr. Possess a current Ground Pesticide Applicator License for the State of Colorado (preferred) High school diploma or general education degree (GED) . Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must be able to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds as needed. Must have current drivers license.
