BAE Systems Cable Infrastructure Technician in Fort Carson, Colorado

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Cable Infrastructure Technician to join our team for an exciting opportunity to support the Special Operations Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC3). This position focuses on using relevant experience, strong problem solving and customer service skills to assists with installing, testing, and maintaining the secure/non-secure voice, video, data, and radio frequency cable infrastructure in close coordination with the Government.

Responsibilities include:

  • Install, replace, repair, remove, terminate, and test new and existing LAN cabling in accordance with applicable policies and industry best practices

  • Maintain cable infrastructure labeling standards in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and directives

  • Installing newcable

  • Terminating and testing newcable

  • Testing and troubleshooting faultycable

  • Cross-connecting circuits using patchpanels

  • Maintaining core datacenter infrastructure; following cabling and organizationstandards

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working with cable infrastructure; terminating, testing and troubleshooting secure/non-secure voice, video, data and radio frequency

  • BICSI Installer 2, Copper OR BICSI Installer 2, Optical Fiber certification

  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $68700 - $100000

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
