As a Senior Benefit Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the administration and communication for all benefit programs including retirement plans in the United States with 22,000 employees.

Key objectives include :

  • Partner with the Total Rewards Center of Excellence and Innovation (COEi) to ensure alignment of operations with benefit plans.

  • Continually identify and improve upon our benefit programs utilizing data, enhancing our technology, process improvements, content management and vendor delivery improvements.

  • Focus on the delivering an exceptional people experience where our employees feel supported and confident in our solutions.

  • Support the administration of our company health and welfare plans including medical, dental, vision, life/disability, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, tuition reimbursement and 401K/retirement and leave of absence programs.

  • Lead the retirement administration program managing large and complex funding requirements and supports the retiree medical enrollment function.

  • Co-manages the administration of Annual Enrollment operations.

  • Administer the tuition and fitness reimbursement programs.

  • Resolves employee benefit escalations from the People Resource Hub and other HR Business Partners related to enrollment, claims, payroll benefit deductions, coverage changes and detailed plan information with compassion, clarity and with a sense of urgency.

  • Utilize case management data to drive an optimal service delivery model and People Experience by identifying the need for additional content, training and search criteria on our portal; prepares, uploads, monitors and maintains portal content.

  • Coordinates any plan or policy updates with the People Resource Hub, ensuring crisp and clear communication for the PRH agents and the employee workforce.

  • Performs quality checks of benefits-related data, identifies, and resolves eligibility and file issues with vendor and determine root cause issue for corrections.

  • Cross-train on certain Leave of Absence processes to provide basic back-up support to LOA team as needed.

  • Analyses and monitors spending account funding (HSA, FSA) against election amounts and annual goal amounts to ensure funding is accurate for both the company and the employee.

  • Administer vendor billing including self-invoicing and reconciling invoices and vendor statements.

  • Liaises with benefit vendors to provide information, answer questions, or connect with internal HR partners.

  • Complete ad-hoc reporting for COEI partner, payroll, insurance brokers, etc.

  • Prepare and analyze benefit data for annual surveys, project documentation and in support of policy decisions.

  • Leads multi-disciplinary projects and initiatives to improve process optimization and people experience.

  • Provides benefit employee inquiry metrics and trends from ServiceNow for our COEI partners.

Required qualifications:

  • High school diploma is required with a minimum of 7 years of direct experience (relationship management and communication skills).

  • College degree plus 6-8 plus years of experience in US Benefits and HR; Benefits Vendor Outsourcing experience.

  • Large corporate experience in a matrixed environment.

  • Strong written and oral communications skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Multi-tasking capability is a requirement.

  • An analytical and process improvement mindset.

  • Customer focused – providing exceptional services to our employees and partners.

  • Strong MS Office proficiency, especially in Excel (Data manipulation, Pivot tables and V-Look-Up); MS Teams, MS Word and MS PowerPoint is necessary.

  • Experience with Workday or Oracle Cloud HR technology.

  • Experience with ADP Payroll or like payroll solution.

  • Experience with ServiceNow or like case management experience.

  • Benefit vendor experience with Fidelity, Alight, Aetna and others.

Takeda Compensation and Benefits Summary

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. We are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$84,000.00 - $132,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
