Position Summary
Michigan State University, Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism is seeking an MD/DO at the Assistant Professor level in the Health Programs (HP) Track. This is a clinical position and the candidate will participate in education of medical students, residents and endocrinology fellows. The candidate is expected to participate in translational/clinical trials and to collaborate with other endocrinologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, and basic scientists. MSU has an expanding community based medical school, and a growing endocrinology clinical and translational research faculty.
Michigan State University is home to over 50,000 students and the medical school possesses numerous clinical and basic science investigators. The Division of Endocrinology is currently comprised of three full-time faculty and 2 Nurse Practitioners plus an endocrinology fellowship program based in the East Lansing campus. We also have affiliations across the State of Michigan. Additional responsibilities of the qualified candidate will include teaching, scholarly activity, and administrative/committee assignments. The position is primarily clinical consulting services, including both outpatient and inpatient care. However, the major part is outpatient care.

Minimum Requirements
Doctorate M.D./D.O.
Physicians must possess Michigan Medical license, Board of Pharmacy and DEA licenses, and must be board certified in Internal Medicine and board certified/eligible in Endocrinology. Board eligible candidates are expected to obtain board certification in Endocrinology within one year of the hire date.
