DESCRIPTION: TAS Aviation is looking for an Operations Assistant at their location in Defiance, OH. This is an entry level job and the role will assist in general janitorial duties within the maintenance facility including washing/detailing aircraft, maintaining a clean shop area, and organizing shop supplies. This position will report to the Director of Building Operations.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Washing and detailing aircraft that are ready for post maintenance delivery.
• Refueling of aircraft as needed.
• Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of airport infrastructure as directed by Supervisor.
• Responsible for garbage and waste disposal including waste oil, fluids, and other maintenance related byproducts.
• Ensuring that shop areas stay clean and organized at all times, to ensure compliance with facility standards and to keep maximum efficiency of the maintenance facility.
• Organizing all rental shop supplies such as rags, rugs, uniforms, and other related items to ensure their delivery to the shop supplies company.
• Maintaining the upkeep of shop organizing tools such as parts boxes, inventory carts, and owner personal effects.

SKILLS NEEDED:

• High School Diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Exemplary organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly.
• Ability to independently navigate variable situations.
• Additional certifications highly desirable but not required (CPR, Forklift, heavy equipment, CDL, etc.)
