Are you looking to flex your project or construction management skills and financial acumen at a growing and fast-paced company? Join us as a Corporate Real Estate Assistant Project Manager! In this role, you will assist with the planning and implementation of new facilities and retrofit of existing buildings across the enterprise, ensuring standardization in facility appearance and functionality. You'll institute administration and financial management best practices and policies, quality control, contract administration, maintain GC and architect relationships, and analyze all practices relating to the construction management, data gathering, design standards, and project functions within the CRE Department. Additionally, you will assist in the coordination and communication of CRE projects and dissemination of information to the correct functional support areas for execution.

As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Responsibilities:

  • You will apply and maintain enterprise standards for Corporate Real Estate delivery of new facilities and facility modification projects.

  • We provide guidance and structure to facility project teams, ensure timely completion, budget accountability, and project life-cycle planning.

  • You will institute construction best practices from pricing through construction administration.

  • Serve as project support on Corporate Real Estate projects for both construction as well as process and procedure.

  • Manage relationships with outside vendors for professional services, contractors, and FF&E suppliers.

  • Demonstrate working level of knowledge with real estate projects and construction including office, industrial, flex space, hangars, and secure or R&D facilities.

  • Work cross-functionally within the CRE Department to assist with overlaps and maintain team alignment.

  • Oversee, recommend, and implement any outsourcing programs, vendors and solutions necessary for project-related services within the CRE Facilities realm.

  • Ensure all project contracting, design, and related services meet audit and compliance standards for procurement of goods and services.

  • Process manager for all CRE Project Management related documents, procedures and processes inclusive of analyzing all practices relating to the cost management, construction, and professional design services within the CRE Department.

  • Assist with the scheduling, creating meeting agendas, and documentation of minutes for internal SNC team meetings

  • Assist with change management throughout project duration

  • Assist with capital expenditure updates

  • Other duties as assigned

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study

  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Progressive experience with project and/or construction management related to commercial and industrial real estate

  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work with a broad array of employees with differing job functions

  • Service-minded attitude to deliver products that align to the business needs and goals of the CRE Team and SNC as a company

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Willingness and ability to travel to various project sites

  • Proficiency in reading and updating construction documents

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and drive others to success

  • Requires strong analytical skills & capability to meet schedules

  • Requires ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations

Preferred:

  • Typically 2-3 or more years of relevant experience

  • Understanding of Real Estate principles and lease administration

  • Certification as a Project Management Professional

  • Highly motivated self-starter and a problem solver with the ability to see the big picture and quickly adapt to implement changes as required

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to motivate/work with others

  • Leadership capabilities to facilitate meetings and build functional project teams.

  • Creative mindset to build upon existing and also implement new CRE Project Management standards, processes, and procedures.

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required. Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances

  • CAD proficient
