Director of Logistics and Supply Chain Engineering

Location: Hybrid at Kohler, WI and/or Dallas, TX. Remote-based candidates may be considered.

Opportunity

You will lead strategic director of the global Supply Chain & Logistics process transformation. The Director of Logistics and Supply Chain Engineering builds and empowers specialized knowledge teams to drive innovation, collaboration, and excellence across the global organization for supply chain physical flow optimization, process excellence, packaging engineering, fill optimization and future transport evolution.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Define, obtain approval for, and build cross functional and direct team members that deliver end-to-end supply chain and logistics optimization capability.

  • Through partnership with key business stakeholders, build prioritized roadmap to optimize flow through our Supply Chain facilities.

  • Build competence in flow optimization, process excellence, packaging engineering, fill optimization and future transport evolution.

  • Leverage low cost (ITC/MTC) SC team capabilities data science, visualization engineering, operational processing, scenario planning, automation and standardization of critical supply chain processes.

  • Define and drive step change performance on customer delivery.

  • Prioritize KBNA roadmap deployment.

  • Contribute to ERP system roadmap development and execution alongside business partners.

  • Define people, process, and technology roadmaps, obtaining revenue and capital spend approval in line with strategic and capital planning cadence.

  • Prioritize "solving the right problems" through design thinking, and a relentless ability to identify the next most critical business challenge.

  • Build knowledge of what is coming next, through external networks, contacts, and partnerships. Understands the changing competitive, consumer, and technology landscape and identify opportunities to bring new tools, concepts, and approaches to Kohler.

  • Drive thought leadership and be a change agent in Kohler, partnering with all levels including the Kohler Leadership Team to drive a culture and capability shift

Skills/Requirements

  • Requires Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Engineering. MBA required.

  • 10+ years of relevant global Supply Chain experience is required, with focus on multi-site Logistics, Distribution Networks, and/or Process Engineering.

  • Demonstrated success with entrepreneurial initiatives requiring ambiguity, flexibility and resilience; prior experience building a team ideal.

  • 5+ years of global leadership experience; ability to influence and leverage global resources to drive change;

  • Experience in global SC transformations, strategy and roadmap development, and performance management.

  • Strong end-to-end SC knowledge and hands-on experience in areas such as flow optimization, process excellence, packaging engineering, fill optimization and future transport evolution.

  • Strong knowledge of business process re-engineering and track record in transformation customer facing supply chain capability.

  • Capacity to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology.Strong facilitation skills and an effective communicator across multiple levels of the organization.

  • Ability to build trust, to set high standards of performance, to focus on the end customer and to drive continuous improvement are required.

  • Ability to travel at 30%.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $158,650 - $206,750. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
