Summary:TheVideo Specialistwill drive corporate brands in both online and broadcast outlets by possessing a keen understanding of best-of-breed design technology combined with a strong background in interactive design. TheVideo Specialistwill be a part of development of visual work for websites, e-Learning projects, online marketing materials, and other interactive outlets. Using both conventional videography tools in concert with leading edge techniques, theVideo Specialistwill bring four-dimensional data visualization & expression together with high-end video to make eye catching presentations that can be incorporated into interactive, web, courseware, or stand-alone products.

  • Collaborate with creative team and provide all motion direction and innovative solutions for communicating new ideas visually, following projects from concept to completion.

  • Provide creative support across all departments, including integrated recruiting campaigns, interactive and motion presentations while upholding corporate brand and culture.

  • Conceptualize and present creative solutions for optimized usability.

  • Act as a strong advocate for Creative Services Department to create and deliver creative materials that meet the needs of the clients and end-users while maintaining high standards of brand consistency.

  • Translate business goals and product requirements into strategies that will yield intended results.

  • Participate in formal and informal creative reviews and provide feedback to all departments.

  • Create from concept to completion dramatizations of real world mission scenarios.

  • Provide theory-intensive approach to expressing positioning statements and narrative visually through all forms of scripted visual media.

  • Strategize approaches to culling meaningful segments from long form interviews with subject matter experts.

  • Condense massive amounts of information to orient and educate users and audiences in a short amount of time.

  • Work closely with designers and developers to enhance the engagement of training and informative products with intense, media rich assets that integrate seamlessly to provide a pleasing user experience.

  • Use innovative techniques to maintain and alter aging products, to keep their information up-to-date while maintaining engagement and aesthetics.

  • Produce videos, graphics, presentations, visual effects and motion graphics in the form of: Titles, Preproduction, Storyboarding & animatics, Script writing, Conceptual design, Studio oversight, Still Photography, Photomanipulation, Compositing, Virtual sets, Animated infographics, Shooting and editing for feature film quality output, Shooting for advanced post-production

  • Assemble and animate design elements into video for interactive software, promotional videos, and marketing materials.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 6 years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong background in user interface design, functionality, color theory, layout and proportion.

  • Proven ability to produce rich audio/video products designed to inform and influence audiences

  • Proficiency in a variety of design tools:

  • Adobe Aftereffects

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

  • Final Cut Studio

  • Flash (Action Script experience a plus)

  • Dreamweaver

  • Knowledge of Flash and ability to shoot video

  • High degree of attention to detail as applied to design and production.

  • Proven ability to identify and interpret graphic design needs and develop creative and responsive concepts

  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance

  • Proven ability to collaborate with others and work independently.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
