Summary:The Digital Front End Developer I will develop modern, dynamic, and interactive web sites, and web-based analytic tools that enable our customers to productively interact with their data.

  • Responsible for the development of major and minor web applications and solutions.

  • Develop highly interactive, multimedia rich applications to engage users, support analytic problem solving, complex data visualization and interactive training.

  • Develop, test and deliver web sites, applications and components to ensure project completion.

  • Develop innovative and modern web solutions for our customers

  • Work with teams of very creative and talented designers, strategists and engineers

  • Will work within an Agile Lifecycle Methodology to plan, estimate, design, develop, test, and deploy capabilities.

  • Integrate multimedia assets into projects.

  • Help develop and follow practices in development standards, design patterns, and testing standards.

  • Drive innovation within currently assigned projects

  • Continually seek understanding about the intersection between business, user experience, workflow, and technology

  • Proactively and objectively communicate project status, concerns, and risks to team, leadership, and stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of related experience are required for this position.

  • An additional 4 years of related experience may be used in lieu of degree, for a total of 10 years of experience.

  • Demonstrated experience with the JavaScript Frameworks.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing accessible websites (508 compliance).

  • Demonstrated ability to perform full system testing.

  • Demonstrated experience with Responsive and Adaptive Web Design.

  • Demonstrated experience with commercial and/or Open Source Content Management Systems (i.e. Drupal, Joomla, WordPress).

  • Experience Programming in high level languages/scripting languages: i.e. JavaScript, PHP.

  • Experience with web front-end technologies such as web services (SOAP and RESTful), HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, browser technologies, AJAX, JSON, and XML.

  • Experience with web development frameworks to include one or more of the following: jQuery, Angular.js, prototype.js, backbone.js, node.js, meteor.js.

  • Experience with or understanding of web servers (i.e. Apache, Nginx).

  • Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, JavaScript frameworks (Angular.js, React.js, Meteor.js, Backbone.js, Reveal.js), JavaScript environments/libraries (Require.js, Underscore.js, Node.js, Express.js), Java, jUnit, Spring MVC, MySQL, PHP, HTML, CSS, AJAX, REST, XML, JSON

  • Experience with Git, GitLab, and/or Subversion

  • Experience with Docker

  • Experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design

  • Experience with Agile Methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban)

  • Experience with or understanding of database technologies to include relational databases, NoSQL databases (i.e. MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.), and SQL.

  • TS/SCI required, FSP desired

  • Familiar with all layers of the full web stack to include hosting environments, the data layer, web servers, the business logic layer, the API and MVC layer, and the UI/UX layer.
